This Notice explains how Virox Animal Health (“Virox Animal Health”, “Virox” “we”, “group” or “us”), collects and processes your Personal Data with use of our Customizable Infection Prevention Protocol tool on the ‘Learn About Rescue’ website (hereafter ‘protocol tool’).
Each time you use our protocol tool, the current version of this Notice will apply. This Notice is applicable to all Site visitors, registered users, and all other users of our protocol tool.
We collect both Corporate Data (about your company or organization) as well as “Personal Information” (for administrators and users of the tools). PI is any information that enables us to identify you, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as your name, location data, online identifier or one or more factors specific to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
By visiting the protocol or related properties, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the processes and policies referred to in this Notice.
Virox respects the privacy of all of our online visitors. Our website does not collect any information from visitors without their prior knowledge and approval. The following information details our commitment to your privacy when dealing with our website and tools.
We only collect information required to deliver and maintain the service we are offering.
Categories of data such as First Name, Last Name, email address and phone number are required in order to communicate with you regarding the operation of our tools.
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data from you:
- Organization name
- Individual name
- Address
- Phone
- Profession/Professional Data
- Role at organization
- Information necessary for account verification
- Technical information including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer or device to the internet, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform
- Information about your visit, including pages you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, and any phone number used to call our customer service number; and
- Location information
- Personal Data we collect from others, such as information about you from publicly available and third-party databases or services that provide information about business people that we believe will help us identify provide products and services that may be of interest to you. We will obtain your consent before contacting you if required by the law of the country in which you are located.
When you withdraw your membership or after 24 months of inactivity, we will close your account and delete all personal data not required by law.
For example, CRA requires us to keep 7 years of transactional records, so we may keep personal information associated transactions, deleting them after 8 years. Otherwise account data will be deleted within 30 days of you cancelling (deleting) your account. Please note, if you need to access any of this information, please ensure you take screen grabs for your own use, prior to deleting the account. Once we delete the data we will not be able to recover it.
The information we collect will never be shared with partners or other organizations.
It is our policy here at Virox to limit sharing of any or all customer information. In this case no data will be shared. We may occasionally communicate with you on behalf of a partner if it is relevant to the performance of our service offering.
We use cookies to track the performance and efficiency of our website. These session files are temporary and are deleted when the user closes the web browser.
Visitors also have the option to set a permanent cookie, which allows entry to the members-only section without the input of a username and password. To access the members-only section, the member’s browser must be set to accept cookies.
We collect aggregate data (not personal) via Google Analytics, which records actions and journeys to help us improve your experience.
Google Analytics help us track traffic and usage, which pages are frequently used and other aggregated information. This is anonymized at the point of collection so we do not know it is a particular individual.
We email updates and information about the tools and website and will not use your email for promotional purposes without your express consent.
If we wish to send you promotional information about Virox and any other services we have, we would ask first. Your inbox is yours and we appreciate you allowing us to communicate regarding the operation of our tools and website.
Every email we send you will include an opportunity to unsubscribe (opt-out).
On occasion we are legally bound to inform you of matters (transactional emails) associated with your account. If you unsubscribe we will limit our communication to what is required by law when continuing to provide our service.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
